Sally Hansen #iHeartNailArt Contest- "Electric Summer"

Hey everyone!
This design is my super last minute entry into Sally Hansen's #iHeartNailArt contest, which ends tonight! The theme for this month is "Electric Summer".
I feel so silly..I kept forgetting to enter this month! But I'm glad I finally sat down and did it.
I was inspired by the colors I love using the most in the summer; metallics, pastels, and neons!

This design is a twist on my rainbow neon nail art I did in my last post, using Color Club neons.
This design is super quick and easy; I love doing it! I chose something easy because I did this design on my right hand, and I'm normally right handed! I had to try hard to keep my left hand from shaking while painting this. It was still easier than I thought! I think overall it took about 10 minutes for me to do.

Even in the shade, it's still super bright!

I love posing with these pretty sunflowers!

Well, this is the third and last post for this contest, you can check out my other two entries to this contest here and here! I had so much fun participating. I hope this is only the beginning! (There is still a chance I can win a trip to NYC to compete in the finals! I can only cross my fingers and hope!)
Wish me luck!

Color Club Neon Rainbow Nail Art + TUTORIAL

Hey everyone!
I did these fun, simple rainbow nails using polishes from Color Club's "Poptastic" Summer 2014 collection!
I wanted to do a simple design that didn't require any nail art tools.

Color names (pink to purple);
"Kapow!"
"Foxy Mama"
"Not-So-Mellow Yellow"
"Bell Bottom Babe"
"Right On"

Here is a video tutorial on this design for you to try yourself! You can even use different colors to mix it up! No tools needed; you only use the nail polish brush.

If you want to try this for yourself, you can purchase the polishes I used here;

I hope you had a great weekend, thanks for reading!

Nail Care

Hey everyone!
I wanted to share with you all how I prep and care for my nails before each manicure!
Video Tutorial;
(Steps below)

Here is the step by step;
Step 1; (not shown) remove any remaining nail polish from nails and wash hands! (acetone is bad for your skin, I like to get in this habit of washing them!)
Step 2; apply cuticle remover to cuticles. I use Blue Cross Cuticle Remover cuticle remover. To make it easy, I pour some into a nail polish bottle and use a polish brush to apply it.
Step 3; I use these Manicure Sticks and gently push back my cuticles to safely help remove unwanted dead skin.
Step 4; I use Deborah Lippmann "2 Second Nail Primer" on my nails. This is a cleansing nail preparation treatment. It helps clean your nails and make nail polish last longer.
Step 5; Cuticle Oil! I put this step here when I'm not planning on actually painting my nails. I usually do this after painting them. Once you apply cuticle oil, you can rub it into your skin. In this video I use Island Girl cuticle oil, which you can only buy in Hawaii and Los Vegas in ABC stores. Any other cuticle oil will do in place of this.
Step 6; Apply OPI Nail Strengthener. Helps strengthen your nails!

This process can also be helpful on its own when you just wanna rock naked nails by keeping them clean, moisturized, and strengthened!

Winstonia Nail Wraps

Hey everyone!
I have two sets of nail wraps to share with you all today from Winstonia! "Galaxy Far Far Away" and "Psychedelically Yours" are just two of the many nail wrap designs they have to offer on their site.
Both are super easy to apply.
All of their nail wraps come in two sets of 10, for a total of 20. Plenty to use for a full manicure, and some left overs if you wish to use them as accent nails in another design! (Or incase you mess up one!)
If you do mis-align the wrap on your nail, you have the option to pull it off and try again a few times before it starts to lose its stickyness.
Here is a quick video tutorial below showing how I applied them. I didn't film this, but once you apply the nail wrap and file the sccess off, you can use a top coat to seal and protect the design! Their website says to apply a new coat every other day to help make them last longer. I only wore them for about 3 days at the most, and I didn't feel the need to re-apply my top coat. Although with both nail wraps, I experienced some 'crinkling' after applying a top coat. This only happened on one or two nails with both sets, which led me to believe that I either used too much top coat or I could have waited a few minutes before using it. They were so small that it didn't really bother me that much. If you look close enough in the photos you can see where it happened.

 Press play to view a quick tutorial as well as the nail wraps in action! (So you can see the full effect of the sparkly!!)

There is no sound, so here are the simple steps shown in the video;
Step One; Apply a base coat.
Step Two; Peel the nail wrap off the plastic.
Step Three; Place on nail.
Step Four; Smooth out the nail wrap.
Step Five; File down.. try doing this perpendicular to your nail, this will work best.
Step Six; Apply top coat!
Step Seven; Enjoy your nails!

4th of July- Ruby Wing Watermarble

Hey everyone!
I used three colors from Ruby Wing's new Wicked West collection for this watermarble manicure design!
I wanted to do something a little different for a 4th of July nail design. Instead of using red, white, and blue, I used red, blue and gold! It still looks super patriotic to me! 4th of July with a twist!
Polishes used are listed under the second photo..
A video of this design in action is in the making...get prepared for that! If you want to be one of the first to see it, make sure you subscribe to my Youtube channel here!
