Sally Hansen iHeartNailArt Contest - Color Destination Beach Inspired

Hey everyone!

This is for my entry into Sally Hansen's iHeartNailArt contest going on right now. This theme is Color Destination, inspired by your favorite place. My favorite place is the beach, and this mani inspired me to drop everything and spend the day there! Of course I had to take some photos while I was there, too.

I used all Sally Hansen colors, shown in the second photo, then added some iHeartNailArt gold studs to each nail, topped off with Sally Hansen quick dry top coat.

Tell me if you want to see a video tutorial for this. I didn't have time to make one this week, but this design is so easy, if you guys wanna see one, let me know! (It'll also be my first video with my fancy new camera!)

Neon Watermelon

Hey everyone!

I used my new Sally Hansen neon green and pink polishes to do this design! I also used a white Sally Hansen 'I heart nail art' striper brush and also their nail art studs. I really love how these came out!

What I used;

-Neon pink; "Pretty in Hot Pink"

-Neon green; "Hot Wasabi"

-White striper polish

-Black studs

Summer Aztec Pattern

Hey everyone!

I got my hands on a ton of new Sally Hansen polishes the other day from Preen.Me, so I decided to use them to make this fun pastel/Aztec print design!

I sponged on three Sally Hansen colors for the gradient, and then drew on top with my black and white "I Heart Nail Art" pens (also from Sally Hansen. 

I took tons of photos, the flowers I came across were so perfect to pose with!

What I used;

-"Mint Sprint"

-"Blue-Away"

-"Lively Lilac"

-black and white nail art pens

-matte top coat

Neon Dots

Hey everyone!

Summer is finally here for me, and school is over! I finally have time to do my nails as much as I want. I'm so excited to share some new designs I've been planning for a while. 

I wanted to jump right into my neon polishes. Nothing screams summertime more than neon (in my humble opinion)!

Here are some photos of a cute and super simple dot design I did. I used all my neon Island Girl polishes I got last summer in Hawaii. Then I felt like they needed some bling and added some silver studs I got from the BornPrettyStore. (Links to the previous blog posts; check em out for more info!)

Mini Gold And Silver Round Stud Rhinestones

These studs come in 3 sizes for each gold and silver (as seen on my ring finger in the photo). When I first took the container out of the package, because it wasn't in a little bag, some studs got loose and ended up getting all over the place! A little annoying, but that was the only bad thing about my experience with this product. The studs are small and they fit really nicely on the surface of my nail. I kinda wish I did some crazy design with them! (Totally doing that now!)

Because there are so many of them, I had some fun and did my friends nails with them. We had matching nails, so fun! (I wish I took a photo...)

I also like how I didn't feel the need to try salvaging them once it was time to take off the design. There are just so many in the package, loosing a few wasn't a big loss.

I definitely recommend these to anyone who has any interest in nails. They are so easy to stick on and can really change up a simple manicure into a fun nail art design.

Gold & Silver Nail Art Foil

The nail art foil comes in gold and silver, in their separate little containers. The nail foil is really delicate and fragile, and easy to tear into small pieces to attach to the nail.
I really liked how easy it was for me to use these. I didn't even use nail art glue. Once my polish started to dry, I carefully places the pieces on and they stuck to the polish nice and evenly.
This product is super fun and easy to use.

Metal Chain

There's not much to describe here with this one. The chain comes as one long piece that you can use scissors to cut into smaller parts. I just used extra top coat to stick them on, but you can also use nail art glue if you have it.

I liked the idea of the chain more than I like the actual chain on my nails. On my nails, I feel the chain is too big and overpowering, almost makes the design look silly. I've seen it done more elegantly on others; It really just depends on how you use it!

I still would recommend this product; it's super fun to try out, and if you find out it's not for you, you can always keep it for a future DIY project!
