Happy February! Valentine's Day Mani

Hey everyone!
Here's a fun Valentine's Day design I did. I used Rainbow Honey "Tiny Ruby" and Essie "Status Symbol". Then just a black polish with a toothpick for the letters and macro beads from a craft store for the outline of the hearts.

Color Club "Seven Deadly Sins" Collection

Hey everyone!
I'm happy to finally share this new collection from Color Club with you called "Seven Deadly Sins". Each polish is inspired by a different sin.
All polishes in this collection are full of glitter, dry matte, and have a textured feel to them. If you don't like texture polishes, you can still add a top coat for shine and smoothness. I personally think these polishes are stunning with a topcoat. I don't mind the texture, it's very subtle, but adding a topcoat seems to bring these colors to life. You can see the difference side by side in the swatches below.

top row (l-r); "Obsessed", "Under Your Spell", "Friends with Benefits"// bottom row (l-r); "Indulge Me", "You're So Vain", "Dirty Money", "Fierce".

Labels cause why not.

I applied two layers for each swatch. The polishes are very similar, so I'm not going to repeat myself under each individual polish.
The applications of the polishes were all surprisingly smooth. I thought they would be a little thick because they're textured, but they were not. They also dried quickly, which is nice if you are in a hurry and want to paint a single coat or two and not wait long for them to dry.

"Obsessed"
Deep blue/green polish. I guess it's a deep teal? I don't know exactly what to call it!

"Indulge Me"
An orange polish with tiny yellow/pink shimmer glitters.

"Dirty Money"
A pale yellow with silver glitters.

"You're So Vain"
A lovely purple.

"Friends With Benefits"
Lilac purple with glitters and shimmer of the same color.

"Fierce"
Deep violet with orange shimmer flakes.

"Under Your Spell"
Blue with a yellow shimmer and blue glitters.
For some reason, these photos are uploading super saturated no matter how much I de-saturate the image..I don't understand why!

You can buy these polishes on Color Club's website here. They retail for $8.50 each.

Thank you for reading! I hope you're having a great week!

Salon Perfect "Haute Holidays" Collection

Hey everyone!
I know what you're thinking "...a Christmas post? But it's not Christmas anymore!" And I'm quite aware, but I wasn't able to get access to my mail at my school until I got back from winter break, which was unfortunately after Christmas. I still really wanted to share these polishes with all of you incase there was one or two that really stood out as polishes you really need even though the holiday season is over. Of course, with my luck, all my nails have been breaking from being so brittle, so I just have macro photos of each polish (which are still so great to look at!)

"Sugar Cube"
A basic white polish. It's opaque in two coats, and is a perfect base for all the glitter top coats in this collection. It's also a nice white polish in general, so if you are looking for a good white polish, grab this one.

"Christmas Cookie"
This polish is a matte glitter top coat, full of green, red, and white circle and hexagon glitters. By matte glitter I mean the shapes don't sparkle or shimmer, they're just little shapes. I really love the glitter shapes; I don't remember seeing any other glitter polishes that are just circles and hexagons together. It's a really cute combo! You can see the white glitters in this close-up, white isn't really the best base color if you want the white glitters to show.
The base that the glitters are suspended in is a little thick, so it was easier to place the glitters rather than layering coats on top of each other.

"Glam Glitter"
This glitter top coat is full or red, green, and gold glitters. It's so packed with glitter that it does a very good job covering your nail in just one coat! The application was a bit tricky, but was still manageable.

"Snowed In"
This glitter top coat is full of different sized, matte, white hexagons along with small, silver glitters. Application was really smooth. I love how this looks over white, it looks soft and fluffy and sparkly like snow!

"He's with Me"
This is a deep red jelly polish with tiny glitters inside. It's super shimmery! Application was nice and smooth.

"Champagne Toast"
A gold holographic glitter top coat. Super glittery! I love how it looks over red.
