Lavish Polish Summer Holographics

Lavish polish was kind enough to send me some of her holographic polishes to review and share with all of you, so here they are!

Since each polish was very similar, I'm going to do an overall review of the formulas.
The formula was pretty consistent with each polish. Very smooth application. I used 4 thin coats to get full opacity for each of the three colors, but three thick coats will work as well.

First up is a red holographic polish called "Spice".

Next is a yellow/orange holographic polish called "Sugar".

In the shade;

The third polish is called "Sugar Daddy";

In the shade; Isn't this such a beautiful blue?! I can wear this all day, even on a cloudy day!

"Sweet Revenge" Collection by NCLA

Hey everyone! I have swatches and reviews today for NCLA's "Sweet Revenge" collection.
The three polishes are called (in order pictured below) "Sugar Fix", "Sunny With a Chance of Sprinkles" and "Not So Sweet". I'll include more in-depth reviews for each polish as I go.

First up is "Sugar Fix"
This polish has a grey jelly base with small blue and dark-pink hex glitters with tiny blue and pink "pixie dust" glitters. That's what I like to call super small glitters. I used three thick coats to get it opaque. The first coat went on very lightly and transparent, but I just wasn't using enough polish on my brush. I didn't have to do any glitter placement to get as many glitters as I did on my nails.

Also, this polish dried very smooth, even without a top coat. Every picture here is with a top coat.

What I love about this polish is that it's so unique! I don't have anything like this in my collection, and I rarely if not ever see a grey polish with colorful glitter in it. Definitely my favorite of this collection.

In shade;

Next up is "Mostly Sunny with a Chance of Sprinkles"
This is a light-blue creme-like polish with small black hex glitters. Formula was perfect, and you can get away with wearing only one coat of this. I opted for three, because that's usually how many coats I"m used to putting on my nails, although I wish I stuck with just one or two! It's doesn't really need a third coat, not that it takes away from the manicure.

The glitters made the finish a tad bumpy, not with air bubbles but just with the glitter. If you look closely at the polish in some of my pictures you can see some of the glitters look raised. It only looks raised, and with a top coat you can smooth it out.

This polish left me with a craving for blue ice cream! Perfect weather for one too! I might have to do this now..

In shade;

Last but not least is "Not So Sweet"
This polish is a creamy- light pink pastel. I used 4 coats on its own to get opaque but I'm sure it could be less if you use white underneath as a base. This polish was a little thin for me at first, but as I kept painting my nails, it thickened up a bit so now it's good consistency. The formula ended up being so perfect, you can tell by the pictures how smooth and soft it is!

I love this color, I think it's the perfect pink! It's not so bright and in your face, but it's not dull. It's just right! Also perfect for any girl of any age, or any occasion! Even my mom fell in love with this shade and she started to put it on before I even opened it! Which says a lot because my mom doesn't obsesses over nail polish like I do.

This color kinda reminds me of cotton candy. Wouldn't you agree?

This also reminds me of ice cream. Or strawberry yogurt..hm..I think I might just be really hungry..

Even if you do want to dress up this polish with glitter, it's totally an option. I had to go and grab my NCLA Limited Edition "". It goes perfectly with this pastel pink!
Any kind of silver or pink glitter would go great with this color. (of course I know, because that's what I did to my mom's nails! Should I post a pic?!)

Lavish Polish Summer Glitters

Hey everyone! I have some awesome summer glitters from Lavish Polish to share with you!

Up first is "Orangesicle" which is a orange jelly polish with white hex glitters of several sizes.
In my pics I used three thin coats over white. The polish had a couple air bubbles in it as it dried over night, but when I went to take pictures in the morning I just covered them up with some of the white glitters.
I really love this polish, it brought back so many memories of summer when I was really young. I used to always eat those orange ice pops! The polish was a little thin, but it wasn't much of a problem because I was able to layer it over white and slowly build it up to the opacity that I liked. I had to do a little bottle shaking and a little glitter placing, which again is not a big problem for me because you normally have to shake up indie glitters.
(TIP; before painting your nails with indie glitters, flip the bottle upside down and lean it up against something while you paint your base coat and wait for it to dry. By then the glitter in the bottle should have settled enough so you don't have to shake your arm off!)

The next polish is called "Purple Nurple". This polish has a light purple/pink base with purple and white hex glitters which also glows in the dark! I used three thin coats over white. This polish looks more pink than purple, but it's by far my favorite of the glitters! The color goes so perfectly with the flowers by my house!

Glow in the dark pics;
The first photo was taken on my camera and the second was taken with my phone. I couldn't get an in focus shot with my camera, but the glow was captured brighter.
I sat outside in the sun for about 5 minutes before I took these pictures. The glow didn't last very long after, but I'm sure if I stayed outside longer the glow would have stayed longer.
Also, this polish glows more purple than is being shown. All my pictures came out blue, and I didn't want to mess with them in photoshop much. So you can see a hint of purple in the first one, that's basically more what it looks like in real life.

The third polish I have to share with you is a green polish called "Sweet Pea". This polish has a light green base with shimmer hex glitters. I used two thin coats over white.
Very smooth application and fast dry time!
Very pretty summer shade.

"United States of Glitter" by NCLA

Hey everyone! I'm starting to celebrate the 4th of July a week early so I can get in a bunch of designs and polish reviews in times for the 4th!

I used NCLA "United States of Glitter" over red, silver, and blue polishes for this manicure. Here I used two coats on each nail. I didn't wanna use a color two times, so I did a gradient of red, white and blue on my accent nail! I really love this gradient, so I'm planning on doing full gradient nails soon!

I love this glitter polish. It's really simple, but that's what I love about it. I can layer it over any festive color or design without it being so overpowering. The bottle is jam packed with small red, silver, and blue hex glitters in a clear base. The application was smooth. The polish was a tad on the thick side, but it wasn't in need of any polish thinner. I just made sure to wait a tad longer to do a second layer so I wouldn't get any air bubbles or dragging of the polish.

Although I love this polish, the one thing about it I'm not in love with is the small curling of the silver glitters. They curl only a little, which if you look close enough you can tell. Which on the other hand, isn't so bad because the only way someone will ever notice the curling is if you shove your nails in someone's face and say "look at the curling!". Overall, this isn't a deciding factor for me to not get this polish.

 NCLA's "United States of Glitter" is still super cute and simple, and I already have a million and one designs I want to do that I can incorporate this glitter into with out it overpowering my nails. The glitter is the perfect size for nails of any shape and size. I can tell you now that you will see this glitter again before the 4th of July!

Aside from the actual polish, I'm completely obsessed with the name alone! "United States of Glitter" is such a cute and unique name!

Oh and did I mention this is a limited edition polish? Well if not I am now! It's limited edition!
