"Monsters In The Closet" Collection by Lavish Polish

Hi everyone! I'm finally putting down my homework to review some cute polish for you from the "Monsters in the Closet" collection by Lavish Polish!

First up, "One Eyed Monster"!
One Eyed Monster has a clear base with small white holographic hex glitter, small light green hex glitter and medium sized green hex glitter. This is two coats over Sinful Colors "Envy".

Application was a little difficult, but I'm sure it's because I was trying to get the glitter out of a mini bottle. It dried really fast though.

Close-up! There are some bubbles from the top coat I used..

Macro shot of bottle! OMG you can see a color shift in the glitters! How pretty!

More bottle shots.
I loved this polish, I didn't wanna take it off!

Second polish from the collection is "Kitty!"!
Kitty!! Is blue pearl based polish with fine silver glitter, small white matte hex, small turquoise hex glitter and large turquoise hex glitter. This is 3 thin coats over white. The large hex glitters were a little difficult to get out of the bottle, but I just shook it up and then was able to get them out. Other than that, application was very easy.
Another pic!

More bottle shots.

And last but not least, "Peek A Boo"!
Peek A Boo is a really cute and girly light purple jelly based polish with fine purple glitter, small silver holographic hex glitter and large purple hex glitter. Here I used three thin coats over white. The large glitters were not hard at all to get out, as you can see I have quite a lot of them on my nails!

Another pic.

I love this collection as a whole, and each individual polish really delivered! A must have for any fan of Monsters Inc. or any polish collector looking to expand their collection.

"Dragon Fire" by Liquid Sky Lacquer

I'm so long overdue for a blog post, I've been in deep with studio work! It's crazy. Here's another polish review and pics for "Dragon Fire" by Liquid Sky Lacquer. I used three coats on its own.

Hm, I'm on the fence about this polish, the color is absolutely beautiful! I can see the glow of the yellow against the red/orange base. Very beautiful colors. The glitters, on the other hand...they're a whole different story..

As you can see in this pic..they all curl. The bar glitters either curl up at the ends, or they actually lay on their side (which I didn't know was possible but alas..). The square glitters also bend up a little, as seen in this pic. Some bar glitters even stuck up at one end, even with a top coat. It was kinda annoying and to be honest, I went through my whole day wanting to take the polish off because of how annoying the glitters were..

So overall, I would totally skip this polish. If you're one of those people who needs to have every single Indie polish out there, well then of course add it to your ever expanding collection, but if not, I would skip it. The curling glitters are too much for me, which is sad because like I said, the over all color scheme is great.

"Chocolate Valentine" by Leopard Lacquer

Hi everyone! I'm finally back with some swatches for you all! Today I'm wearing "Chocolate Valentine" by Leopard Lacquer. It's a really cute glitter polish, with small brown glitters and hearts! Very chocolate-y and very valentine-y! Mmmmmm I'm craving chocolate now..haha. Here are some pics!

I used one layer of "Chocolate Valentine" over "I Break For Manicures" by OPI. The hears weren't that bad to get out, I'd say I had to "fish" for only a couple. Application was good, not as thick as I thought it was gonna be.

My nails look so yummy I wanna eat em!! I can't stop thinking of chocolate!

The thing that bothered me though about this polish is the label, it was really coming off, which is sad because I love all the different Indie labels! I had to run the polish under warm water to open it (which I have to do to 90% of my polishes in the winter...burrrrr) and the water did major damage to it, and all the ink came off on my hands. It's not major and it doesn't affect the polish, but it's just one of those little things in life that make a big difference.
Yay! I'm craving chocolate so hard right now..someone needs to send me chocolate!! (Haha just kidding..or am I? LOL)

"Teal-icious" and "Diva" by Candied Lustre

Hey, hey, hey! Today I have for you guys two polishes from an indie brand called "Candied Lustre". These two polishes are both really simple and cute and easily worn. Now lets get on to each individual polish..

First up, "Teal-icious"
SMOOTH smooth smooth polish. This is two coats over a teal Sally Hansen. Dried really fast. I LOVE this color!! It's a blue shimmer base with little blue glitters and small bar glitters. The bar glitters are well tamed! Which is surely a plus I love this shade of blue!

Bottle shot.

Loving this funky shot! (Some of the reflections in this photo look like polish bumps, they are just reflections!

Macro shot of the bottle! You can really see the shimmer in the bar glitters here!

Over all I really liked this polish and I would recommend it to everyone who has to get their hands on some of her polish!

Next up, I have a super un-predictable nail polish that I went speech less over! This pinkish/redish polish is called "Diva". On to the pics first, then I'll explain more.

BEAUTIFUL holo in this polish! I had no idea is was holographic (because it's  winter where I am, even in the daylight there is not much light) and I thought it was instead "pixie dust" silver glitter! Boy was I suppressed when I walked into class under those florescent lights and looked at my nails. I thought it was so fun! Shown is 3 coats on its own. It didn't take long at all to dry, but when it did, I got a few bubbles spread around my fingers. They're not so noticeable in the pic though.

Label shot.

Playing around with being able to see the holo!

You can even see it in the bottle. There are are also red glitters, which you can see here as well.

Macro shot of my finger! Yay close up! I absolutely love this pic of the polish!
