"Lovely Lavender" by Leopard Lacquer

Hello all! It's very early in the morning, but I really need to do some catching up with some reviews! So tonight (well, technically this morning) I have for you guys a polish from Leopard Lacquer called "Lovely Lavender". It's a very sheer purple jelly polish with "pixie dust" glitters. It's good to layer over white or purple to give it a subtle shine. Better show you some pics to better explain;

This is one coat of "Lovely Lavender" over black. It's very pretty! You can't even tell it's purple, but you can see the "pixie dust" glitters which makes it a very simple and cute mani! I actually really enjoyed having this over black. It's dark, but in the sun you can see the sparkles, which is nice.

Here I did a gradient from white to purple with one coat of "Lovely Lavender" on top, which makes it a gradient from light purple to dark purple instead. There are two coats over white on my thumb.

Close-up of the gradient mani. The "pixie dust" glitters aren't as noticeable here as they are over black, but this polish still adds a nice touch to this gradient.
Bottle shot in the sun! Out of focus so you can see the rainbow! So pretty.
I really loved this polish before I even put it on (maybe because purple is my favorite color). Applying it was a different story. This polish is really thick and took forever to dry. If you could only buy one polish from Leopard Lacquer, I'd say you can skip out on this one and snatch up "Cotton Candy". But if you're a purple lover like me and can spare a couple bucks, it certainly can't hurt to buy.

I hope this review was found helpful!

"Cotton Candy" by Leopard Lacquer

Hi everyone! Today I have a really cute polish from a brand that's just starting to make their way into the indie polish world, Leopard Lacquer! This polish is called "Cotton Candy". It doesn't really remind me of cotton candy, but it's really funky polish! It's full of blue and red flakes and a ton of "pixie dust" glitters. This polish is so unique from everything else I own! If you had to buy only one polish from her I would say get this one. It will be a great addition to your ever expanding collection of nail polish! I promise you won't have anything like it. Now onto the pics!

I used two coats of "Cotton Candy" over Pure Ice "Envy". Dried super fast and smooth. Like 99% smooth. I had one glitter stick up annoyingly on my pinkie finger. But the rest smoothed out nicely with a top coat (I used OPI Top Coat).

Funky pic!! Love this shot, you can really see the "pixie dust" glitters here! They really add depth to the polish.

Liquid Sky Lacquer Swatch Marathon

Hi everyone! It's 2:47am the night before I leave for college. I'm so tired and just ready to get back to work! I wanted to get these four reviews and pictures to you before I left, so here I am writing them! I hope they help you to give you some info on them so you can decide if you must have them for yourself. (Also, if you find an error in this, as you might because I'm very tired, just do hesitate to tell me as you will only be helping me). Well enough about that, on to the polish!

First up is "Cupcake".
Cupcake has a shimmer blue base packed with different color glitters like green, pink, red, and purple. Application was very easy, I only used two coats over OPI "My Boyfriend Scales Walls" and I did not have to dig for any glitters.

Bottle shot.

Funky shot! I love this picture so much, you can really see what this polish is all about!
Here are more photos of "Cupcake". This polish was so fun to photograph and I got really beautiful photos!

Next up is "Impossible Sea". A beautiful green duo-chrome.
"Impossible Sea" is a BEAUTIFUL duo-chrome! This polish can be opaque on its own in one coat. Shown here is two coats just to make sure I got even coverage. The consistency is a little thick, but it didn't really bother me as it dries really smooth and you can't see any streaks. Possible one of my favorite polishes by Caroline.

Bottle shot.

Funky shot. This polish is super shiny with a top coat! (I used OPI Top Coat.)
Third polish I have for you is called "Midway Games".
"Midway Games" is a glitter top coat with a ton of glitters such as large blue hexes, small pink squares, and more. Application was really thick and some what difficult to apply. Also the polish took a little long to dry but when it did it was smooth. Shown here is two coats over OPI "My Boyfriend Scales Walls" and a layer of China Glaze "Snow Cap" (which is the shimmer sparkles that give my manicure that "depth" look. This polish is really cute and I did enjoy wearing it.
Bottle shot.

You can really see the glitters in this pic. Also, you can see more of the "depth" I mentioned earlier.

The last polish I review for you before I rush off to get ready to leave (ohhh boy..) is called "Give Me Some Sugar".
Woot! The last review I have for you guys tonight (or well, I guess it's considered morning now!..) is this polish called "Give Me Some Sugar". This polish is just SO MUCH GLITTER AHHH hahaha. I cant even tell you what's in this. The colors of the glitters are mostly light pink and red which gives it an over all pink color. I used to coats of this on its own without any undies! It dries very, very smooth.

Bottle shot.

I made this photo a little bigger so you can really see the individual glitters! You can really see them in this photo. Also, check out some holo glitters!!
Well that's it for tonight, I'm leaving now in two hours to go back to college to start my second semester as a sophomore! Wish me luck, and check back, I might start selling my jewelry. I'll be posting here when I do! If there is anything else you wanna know about these polishes that you think I should have included, just tell me! I'd love to hear your feedback on how I can better my reviews for you.

"100 Acre Woods" Collection by Liquid Sky Lacquer

100 Acre Woods Collection by Liquid Sky Lacquer

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in like forever, I've been so busy trying to catch up on swatching! Tonight I have reviews and pictures for Liquid Sky Lacquer's 100 Acre Woods Collection!

The first two polishes are shimmer polishes packed with glitters. "Little Old M-me" and "Thanks for Noticin' Me".

First up is "Little Old M-me". Inspired by Piglet! This polish is loaded with small white bar glitters, and a bunch of different sized pink glitters in a pink, shimmer base. I used two layers of this polish over Ciate "Strawberry Milkshake". The application was really smooth and I didn't have to go digging for glitters. I absolutely love this polish it's something I feel like I can wear every day!

Bottle shot.

Funky close-up shot. You can see a lot of the different glitters in this pic! You can also see a hint of blue/purple shimmer in the light.
The next polish in this collection is "Thanks for Noticin' Me" inspired by the character Eeyore!
This polish is my favorite from the collection because lilac is my favorite color! So I fell in love with this one before I even put it on. "Thanks for Noticin' Me" is like the brother of "Little Old M-me", as in it also has a shimmer base loaded with glitters. Different glitters and colors, of course. Also the formula was similar. No digging for glitters and dried very smooth. I layered 2 coats of "Thanks for Noticin' Me" over Essie "St. Lucia Lilac".

Bottle shot.

Funky angle. You can really see all the glitters in this pic!
Now onto the next two, both are jelly polishes.

"Bounce Outside the Lines" is inspired by Tigger! An orange base containing some orange glitters and some black bar glitters, this polish is easily opaque in three coats by itself. It dried smooth, and application was good. Glitters were a tad hard to get out of the bottle, they kept settling to the bottom real quick so I had to shake the bottle multiple times.

Bottle shot.

Funky shot!
Last but not least, "If the Hunny Pot Fits"inspired by Whinny the Pooh himself!

Last but not least, this polish has a yellow jelly base with yellow flake glitters, red square glitters, and red heart glitters! This is three coats on its own. Application was smooth, but again the glitters would settle really fast so I had to shake the bottle a lot and I did a lot of glitter digging. But in the end it was worth it because this mani looks so cute!

Bottle shot.

Funky shot! You can see the yellow flakes better in this pic.
I hope this review was helpful to those interested in these polishes!

"Ocean Secret by D" by U-Neek Polish

"Ocean Secret by D" by U-Neek Polish

This polish is pictured over 2 coats of OPI "My Boyfriend Scales Walls" on my first two fingers and over OPI "DS Classic" on my last two fingers. I couldn't choose which polish to swatch it over, so I picked two! I hope it's still helpful like this. I used two coats of "Ocean Secret by D" over all 4 fingers. This polish is a glitter topper, with copper flakes, blue bar glitters, and some "blue diamond" flakes for added shimmer. I didn't need to shake the bottle after even getting it in the mail. Very even coverage, and no digging for glitter whatsoever. The glitter dried pretty quickly and very smooth. Bar glitter did not curl or stick up. The shimmer is very apparent in real life. So beautiful!

"Chiari Awareness" by U-Neek Polish

Nail polish for a cause. I'm going to share with you all what this decease means. Taken right from U-Neek Polish's etsy shop description of the polish.
"Chiari Awareness polish was created to help bring awareness to Chiari Malformation. As most people do not know what it is and how you “get it”. Chiari Malformation (kee-AHR-ee mal-for-MAY-shun) is a condition in which brain tissue protrudes into your spinal canal. It occurs when part of your skull is abnormally small or misshapen, pressing on your brain and forcing it downward. Chiari malformation is uncommon, but improved imaging tests have led to more frequent diagnoses. The adult form, called Chiari malformation type I, develops as the skull and brain are growing. As a result, signs and symptoms may not occur until late childhood or adulthood. The most common pediatric form, called Chiari malformation type II, is present at birth (congenital). In the past, it was estimated that the condition occurs in about one in every 1,000 births. However, the increased use of diagnostic imaging has shown that CM may be much more common. Complicating this estimation is the fact that some children who are born with the condition may not show symptoms until adolescence or adulthood, if at all. CMs occur more often in women than in men and Type II malformations are more prevalent in certain groups, including people of Celtic descent. Treatment of Chiari malformation depends on the form, severity and associated symptoms. Regular monitoring, medications and surgery are treatment options. In some cases, no treatment is needed. Chiari malformation occurs when the section of the skull containing the cerebellum is too small or is deformed, thus putting pressure on and crowding the brain. The lowermost portion, or tonsils, of the cerebellum are displaced into the upper spinal canal. The pediatric form, Chiari II malformation, is always associated with a myelomeningocele. The adult form, Chiari I malformation, results primarily from a too small back portion of the skull." To read more... http://www.etsy.com/listing/119212340/chiari-awareness

This is a beautiful polish and goes to a great cause;
15% of each bottle sold will be donated to http://www.csfinfo.org/ Chiari & Syringomyelia Foundation.

This polish is made in a pearl purple base with black bars, and purple, silver and black macro glitters. Purple is also the color of Chiari Awareness. I was able to get even coverage in 2 coats, but I added a thin third one just personal preference really. The application was very good, no need to dig for glitters. Also, I got full even coverage with no streaking or pulling or anything. This is the polish on its own, no undies needed! I did use a top coat to get the polish finish and shine. The bar glitter blended in right with the polish, and didn't curl or stick up or anything annoying. The finished application was very smooth and the color is so beautiful! Dried really quickly too. Also, purple is my favorite color so I loved wearing this.

The silver glitters are holographic, as seen in this pic.

"Kissed at Midnight" by NOPI

Two glitter mani posts in a row! I'm on a roll. This mani I wore out tonight for dinner because it was my dad's birthday, so I wanted to wear something with a lot of bling!

And this mani has a lot of bling!! This is OPI "DS Classic" with glitter NOPI "Kissed at Midnight" on top. The DS is from the Designer Series and the NOPI is from the Selena Gomez collection. I used 2 coats of "DS Classic"and only one coat of "Kissed at Midnight"! How crazy is that, there is so much glitter in this bottle, but it isn't thick at all. It was really easy to apply and dried pretty quickly. "Kissed at Midnight" contains a bunch of gold glitters, mainly medium and small sized but there is a lot in there! I bet this glitter polish can be opaque in two coats. My cuticles are really dry even with cuticle oil..winter weather dries my skin like no other..hopefully they will get better soon! Here are more pics.

Ciate & Revlon Glitter Combo!

I've been wearing a lot of glitter lately, so I'll share with you what I wore! This mani I wore yesterday, I had a lot of errands to run and I couldn't do them without wearing some sort of polish!

The bottle shots of Ciate "Strawberry Watermelon" and Revlon "Stunning". I got the Ciate polish from my aunt for my birthday and it came with some rainbow caviar beads (which I have yet to try..) and the Revlon I got for Christmas! I was able to cross off two untried polishes in one, and the manicure really stood out when I wore it! Before I wore them, I thought the Ciate polish was gonna be really sheer like a jelly polish, and I was really surprised when it wasn't (in a good way haha). I'm really happy with them both.

Ciate is a pastel pink. It's almost opaque in one coat, I used two thin coats in my mani. I was afraid this color would make my skin look washed out, but when I wore it out it really stood out especially with the glitter on top! The Revlon is so pretty, with three different glitters, two holographic and one shimmer. Both the holographic glitters are silver and circular, one is medium sized and the other is small sized. The shimmer glitter is also small and circular. The medium glitters are kinda hard to get out of the bottle, I had to shake the bottle really well before I used it and then between application on each hand. You can see the shimmer glitters if you look really closely, they almost have a pint tint to them.
